History

Marrone Consulting, LLC, was formed in 2018 to provide services to organizations functioning in the homelessness, housing, workforce, and community development spaces. The principal, Melissa Marrone, wanted to leverage her passion for improving communities as well as the nonprofits that operate in those communities across the country.

Melissa’s most recent experience leading the Housing & Homeless Coalition of Central New York helps position her clients who have a need for grant writing, research & data analysis, program development & implementation, and systems change to greatly improve their ability to excel in their space.

Melissa Marrone

Melissa A. Marrone, MSWPrincipal of Marrone Consulting, LLC, is born and raised in Syracuse and is passionate about improving communities as well as the nonprofits that operate in those communities. She has had over a decade of experience working in nonprofits and public service.

She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Syracuse University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Le Moyne College.

Her most recent experience was working for the Housing & Homeless Coalition of Central New York where she led the community effort to end homelessness among Veterans in Syracuse, the community effort to implement anti-racist policies in the homeless services system, brought together a statewide workshop on healthcare and housing, and assisted in the creation of policies and programs to make an over 20% reduction in homelessness during her tenure.
